Commercial Insurance Agent - Account Manager

Responsibilities

  • Initiate correspondence with the marketplace of commercial insurance carriers and wholesalers
  • New Business placement and cross selling is conducted as needed to maintain client’s insurance program.
  • Completion of Acord and carrier supplemental applications
  • Function as the primary contact with all companies to ensure proper processing of all requests necessary to effectively maintain the client’s insurance program.
  • Maintain positive client relationships and have the ability to analyze situations, make proactive decisions and follow through.

Qualifications

  • Time management/multi-tasking: The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is solutions-oriented, thrives under pressure, enjoys fast-paced work and is motivated by success.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting: good relationship skills; be a good listener; respect the expertise of others; and have ability to motivate and generate effective action from all levels of the organization
  • Passionate about insurance, helping businesses, creative problem solving, and building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience in commercial insurance or related function
